I have been working at Girl Scouts USA full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Worthwhile mission, good programming, good people to work with, great brand recognition, cookies, flexible work schedule, colleagues really care, Girl Scouts are inspiring and amazing

    Cons

Lots of work, pay isn’t great, insurance costs so much, need more collaboration with local council and GSUSA, Gold Award needs to be more recognizable

    Advice to Management

GSUSA needs to figure out how to actually support the local councils and not hinder their progress

I worked at Girl Scouts USA

    Pros

    Compensation, work/life balance, wonderful mission.

    Cons

Lack of direction, middle-management employees not empowered to make decisions, slow moving on the national and local level.

    Advice to Management

Get fresh perspective in leadership positions. Take more risks, playing it safe will not save this organization from being phased out as other opportunities for girls are winning out.
