I worked at Girl Scouts USA part-time

    Pros

I was temporary, summer hire for a summer camp. It was wonderful to see the creative side of so many girls. The staff is made up of mostly young college age women and worked really well together.

    Cons

This is full time commitment. There is one night off and one day off a week, usually. Management was good about making sure staff took their breaks and were available for problems, but this is an emotional and physically draining job. At any point of the day or night you can be called in for an emergency. Thankfully, there was only one this summer and it was quickly resolved. Be aware that there is almost no time in the summer for anything else.
