I have been working at Glacial Energy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

8-5 work day. Nice office space. Fun environment.

    Cons

Sometimes late hours, but this is not really a complaint. That is what it takes to meet deadlines. Would have a flexible schedule the next day, or a party or event to attend.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it interesting

I worked at Glacial Energy full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Outsides sales freedom is great and you never know what the day will bring!

    Cons

Zero training and support. They hired twelve people and within 60 days two were still employed. If you're not very familiar with the industry, have leads of your own and cant adapt to their dis functional systems immediately you will not succeed

    Advice to Management

Stop the infighting and internal conflicts with each other. Focus on training and actually retaining the people you hire. LEADS??? Employees left good jobs and changed their lives and put their family incomes and future opportunity in your hands. Act accordingly.

I worked at Glacial Energy full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None that I can think of. Gary Mole was finally forced out, though he still owns Negawatts. But we'll see how long that lasts. The people he owed money to have taken over and we should see some good things coming as far as pricing and management.

    Cons

Everything...crappy pricing, management with addiction tendencies,. If you're willing to screw your customers and know it, this is the company for you. I personally couldn't stomach it.

    Advice to Management

Like a phoenix rising from its ashes, the next iteration of Glacial should be a much better company. But, right now, it has to be proven to me and a whole host of others.

I have been working at Glacial Energy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The product being sold was electricity. The sales process was easy to implement and customer understanding was also easy to establish.

    Cons

Most of the prospective customers had to have their hand held and walked thru mostly overly complicated contracts. The legal terminology scared some customers away.

    Advice to Management

Could have had more hands on teaching.

I worked at Glacial Energy full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people are nice to an extent. The bosses give out booze after work and free coffee all day.

    Cons

Shadyyyy. Everyone does and doesn't talk about work. They claim the company has no debt...etc., and feed you propaganda about energy like electric and natural gas. This business is like a Sicilian family with everyone on top are either related or have history...feeding money below. I don't get the feeling of comfort there, my hair stands up.

    Advice to Management

    Rapture be coming soon...

I worked at Glacial Energy full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The sales team are in general hardworking, friendly . No micromanagement. you are on your own. (years ago)

    Cons

Years ago, not now, they only sold a variable/flexible product not a fixed rate. Many companies did not want the product no matter how good you were at selling it. I hear now they offer both. also back then, the turnover was like 80%. when i was hired, they showed me a list of all new employees Quotas were unrealistic. 2.5 million kWhs per month expected..no way... they let go of my whole team.

    Advice to Management

Just keep adding products and use realistic goals considering the competition out there.
