    Approves of CEO

I worked at GlaxoSmithKline full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Provides independence in projects and tasks, high levels of accountability and opportunities for growth, recognition and initiatives. The environment is highly competitive but accommodating.

    Cons

Small departments and strict controls in certain areas. The location of the head office is a cause for concern as it is based in the factory itself, in a highly industrial area.

    Advice to Management

Add more color to the departments.

"One of the best companies in Pakistan in terms of learning, development and growth, but with exceedingly low salaries."

Assistant Manager, Business Development in Karāchi
    Recommends

    I worked at GlaxoSmithKline

    Pros

Great opportunities for learning in a multinational environment. Good culture, conducive to working harder and smarter. Career development and chances for promotion more likely than at other similar sized multinationals in Pakistan.

    Cons

Compensation is well below industry averages, almost to the point of being unjust. High turnover means low retention of good human capital and future leaders. Pharmaceutical marketing practices sometimes questionable.

    Advice to Management

Increase compensation levels, introduce new and exciting learning and development programs, improve the consumer business to attract young professionals interested in FMCG marketing.
