I have been working at GlaxoSmithKline full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - Benefits are solid (401k match, pension plan, health care) - Managers generally flexible if you leave early for appointments - People are very helpful if you have questions

    Cons

    - Pay is below industry in the area - Commercial manufacturing support hours are scheduled around the manufacturing process, so you can get calls even when off / out of the office - Poor work-life balance - A lot of politics and red tape to get any simple thing done - Fixed bonus structures so it's based on tenure and not your actual performance anymore, so you have a lot of loafers that don't do enough but still get paid as much if not more because they've been with the company longer - Change is poorly managed (parking, people seating allocations)
