- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
Big budget for supplies, big space.
Cons
Tightly packed schedule with very little prep time. Your honest hard work and efforts are not appreciated and acknowledged. Some coworkers do not have team spirit and will be jealous or unkind to newcomers. This is recipe for teacher burnout and dissolution of community. Class sizes are too large given how much help many students truly need.

Great School Community, Be prepared to work hard!
May 20, 2021 - TeacherRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
the school community is rich and diverse. they really work hard to help children and their families succeed. Everyone from top down cares about the children at the school and the school has made huge gains in academic achievement in the past several years. Benefits are good too for fill time employees. You don't have to pay a premium for health insurance if you're single, and pay is very competitive.
Cons
The administration does not care about staff. They will work you to the bone and ask for more. They made up some scale for pay, and will pull every ounce of work out of you because they're a bunch of workaholics. You will get emails at all hours but don't ever expect a response.

Pros
Children are the force! They might be too many in their groups, considering the amount of them with especial education needs, or in need of evaluation. They are the reason to get up, roll sleeves and do the impossible.
Cons
Administration is not connected to the real practice of high quality education. Lack of true leadership that inspire trust in teachers. Unequal pay. Some people get the benefit of privilege treatment for being “nice” to leadership.

Cons
principal Norgrove is inexperienced and so is the rest of the administration. Very mean spirited and not to be trusted.

Pros
Flexible, empathetic administration No micromanaging Administration really value their employees Small school setting Low stress levels so teachers about to teach with ease Flexible curriculum Administration will try to hire for upper level positions from within if possible Phyllis is no longer a member of staff
Cons
Seems as if some administration members are not communicating expectations to each other. Summer pay, afterschool pay and test prep pay is not a separate payment.
