    I have been working at Global Connections to Employment (More than a year)

    Pros

    Easy areas to clean, shine, and polish at the kitchen and stairwells, plus the main lobby. Received Safety Certificates and Awarded for Employee Of The Month.

    Cons

    Instabilities within the staff as VA Medical Center staff threatened to cancel contract with GCE. I later resigned from GCE, and VA had later been investigated for unethical practices.

    Advice to Management

    Background checks on the Adminisration; start from the top level down.

    Pros

    There's no best reason to work at Gulf Coast Enterprised. Very bad place to work and they treat disability people like slave.

    Cons

    Poor wages, benefits, and also management.

    Advice to Management

    You should be ashamed of yourself how you treat your employee.

    Pros

    Primarily hires people who are disabled. Not much else.

    Cons

    Poor management. Poor working conditions. Ineffective support for their physically disabled employees. Overemphasized profits over people. Favoritism in the workplace. No encouragement to grow. Supervisors participate in gossip.

    Advice to Management

    Get people who understand how to budget. Start living by the company's values. Give better support to the physically disabled employees.

    I have been working at Global Connections to Employment as a contractor (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    If you can do the job you have one and everything you need to do it are supplied. Because of my age and history I really needed a job and they helped and for that I am grateful.

    Cons

    They are very limited since their service is cleaning, there is limited backup and the salary is low. Even in a good economy they couldn't sell themselves.

    Advice to Management

    Be more proactive.

    GCE is an ability one contractor focusing on identifying and providing employment opportunities to people with disabilities

    Difficultly in leveraging corporate policies in adding a new line of business - IT Professional Services

    Examine the policies and procedures that worked for low/non skilled employees to identify where changes are needed to be effective in a high-skill workforce

    My Coworkers are good and always willing to help.
    The benefits are not too bad and the HR staff is always willing to take questions.

    Cons

    They don't pay too well for the job.
    We have too many meetings.
    Employees get overwhelmed with paperwork and not enough to to do it.

    I think management needs to pay attention to employees advice and also cut down on the meetings every month.
