- Current Employee, more than 5 years★★★★★
Pros
Ability to work remotely, great culture, accessible leaders, upward mobility, great bonus structure
Cons
Only 3 office locations in US
- Former Employee, more than 5 years★★★★★
Pros
Flexible work environment; pay for performance
Cons
Less opportunities for management than ideal
- Former Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
Literally, there are no Pros.
Cons
The new management team that rolled in is AWFUL. HR is even worse…takes no responsibility for their errors and doesn’t pay attention. Nothing is ever done right the first time and it’s totally disorganized. No one knows what they are doing, it’s every man for themselves and so many people are in management positions that shouldn’t be. There are barely any leaders, just bosses. Communication is terrible. Most frustrating environment and toxic culture. This was 100% the worst company I have EVER worked for. Management has old school thinking and puts THEMSELVES first. If you want to feel under appreciated, disrespected and talked down to - this is it! Very resistant to change and lacking so much creativity. Please steer so clear of this place. Choose ANY other company. You have been warned!!!

Pros
GBLI has a very diverse underwriting portfolio with SMEs heading up each area.
Cons
It is hard to find new employees in this very competitive market.
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
Strong Management Team. Flexible work environment.
Cons
Nothing comes to mind here. Used to be benefits but that has been improved. Solid experience overall.
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
Good pay, good people and atmosphere
Cons
Favoritism among the leadership team.
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
Prior to 2021, it was a nice place to work with great culture. Employees do not seem to trust the new C-level executives at all.
Cons
-nobody is standing up to the unethical new c-level especially the human resources who was personally hired by the new c-level to protect them. Even the ethics committee if it even exists is probably controlled by the same people who its meant to hold accountable. -New CEO hiring his friends and family -advice to employees: If ever presented with a contract of any kind, carefully read and fully understand any restrictive covenants. Look for language that could be restricting future employment opportunities or not allowing to post anything negative about the company on public forums such as glassdoor.
- Current Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Pay is ok, coworkers are nice
Cons
Management is confusing, not a lot of support
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
Supportive management. Opportunities to move into newer/more advanced roles are available.
Cons
Does not have the best health insurance benefits. Also have the option to be fully remote would be great.
- Current Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
Great team and environment with a good work life balance. Plenty of room to grow and improve your skill set with many mentors
Cons
There were very little cons at Global Indemnity Group. The commute to the work place was tough because of city traffic.
