I worked at Global Tungsten & Powders Corp.

    Pros

Interns will get experience with a production environment and will learn the basic principle of six sigma and process improvement. Interns will learn how to successfully work with different data monitoring programs. Interns are also involved in material sampling which will teach them how to interact with employees in different departments.

    Cons

Interns are expected to perform roles with little to no supervision at times which sometimes causes confusion.

      Negative Outlook

I worked at Global Tungsten & Powders Corp.

      Pros

Lots of great people and the benefits were excellent. The bosses listened and worked hard to make a good work environment.

      Cons

Morale is low. Over a year of furloughs and the company is owned by a foreign company and are too far removed to care about what the average worker here in the US is going through.

      Advice to Management

If regular employees have to furlough then so should managers!

      Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Global Tungsten & Powders Corp. for less than a year

      Pros

Good pay and benefits and that is pretty much it, nothing else good to say...it's a sinking ship and morale is extremely low

      Cons

Management makes up rules as the suit them and there is no job security, eliminating newer employees (and any chance of new ideas) and bringing in temps

      Advice to Management

Make a rule and stick to it instead of promoting those who just tell you what you want to hear

      Negative Outlook

I worked at Global Tungsten & Powders Corp.

      Pros

Company provided spacious apartment for interns

      Cons

Negative atmosphere. Nobody I interacted with had anything good to say about the company or how they were treated. Was mainly used as mindless manual labor and did not learn anything valuable as I would have liked to from an internship.

      Advice to Management

Company is in need of a complete management overhaul from what I could tell.

I worked at Global Tungsten & Powders Corp. full-time

      Pros

they have good pay and good insurance. There are plenty of opportunities for employees to grow, advance, and earn more money.

      Cons

unstable and constantly laying off employees, lots of senior employees had lousy work attitude making work harder and more miserable.

      Advice to Management

Start monitoring shift production more closely to see which shift and area needs to have employees cut. Monitor employees closer without being seen to see which employees are breaking the rules.
