    Negative Outlook

I worked at Global Village Academy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

A wonderful and diverse group of people. You learn a lot about cultures around the world

    Cons

Pay is based on favoritism by the principal. He hires former students and pays them significantly more than other teachers and than their experience level. Most of his former students have no classroom experience. One such teacher made $50,000 a year with absolutely no experience, yet in a needed subject area with three years of experience another teacher made $41,000.

I worked at Global Village Academy

    Pros

Teachers work hard to support each other. A lot of good students

    Cons

There is a lot of favoritism and students are allowed to be disrespectful because the Principal doesn’t support teachers and will overturn suspensions. At least 40% teacher turnover every year.
