Pros
Global work and travel are such a brilliant company to work for. From the moment I stepped into the office I felt so welcome and was able to go to anyone if I had any questions. The energy in the office is always positive and you can see that all the staff here are so passionate in what they do and they really care. The training has been brilliant and has been very well explained from day one. Liam has explained everything really well and all the other coordinators have been so helpful which has made me enjoy every second so far. Coming from the UK and being a traveller myself I feel like this job role has been perfect as I can really relate to the travellers which i think makes them feel more comfortable. I really enjoy the incentives and the weekly Friday morning quiz's which brings the whole team together. Overall my first 4 weeks have been so much fun and its been really good getting to know travelers to help turn there travel dream into a reality.
Cons
No cons so far in my first 4 weeks.

Pros
Everyone is so welcoming and the culture is really sociable with lots of activites organised for the team outside of working hours. The training is well planned and I never feel awkward asking questions. I love getting to talk about travel all day and you can really connect with our customers which is very rewarding.
Cons
I can't think of anything!

Amazing company, tons of room for growth and fun ambitious team!

I can't say enough about how amazing my time was with GWAT. I was a Canadian who just moved to London and GWAT was the perfect fit for me. If you're looking for a role that has tons of room for growth with tons of support from your team and upper management, they'll be perfect for you. During my just over 3 year time with Global, I started on the sales floor and was promoted twice. Your hard work never goes un-noticed and you're compensated fairly, in my opinion, better than most other jobs I have had in similar fields. The team you'll work with is such a down to earth, diverse and fresh crowd! The people you work with feel like family, and I have made friends that i'll keep for life. You're not just another team member, global takes you under their arm and treats you like family. Your idea's, suggestions are heard and implemented. This is all due to the involvement of upper-management up to Jurgen the CEO, who himself is extremely approachable, down to earth and just a passionate guy who makes you believe in the company, and the team. Julia, who was my direct manager for a good portion of time at Global was always extremely open, always available and approachable as well. We all admired the hard work she put in and the involvement in our daily operations they both took. I couldn't speak any higher of the two. I worked alongside Ross who was our office General Manager and my boss in the office. Ross always has the teams best interest in mind and will support your growth every step of the way. Quickly I saw Ross as a great friend, a great boss and just an epic guy all around. Seriously, if you love to talk about travel, want to meet a great bunch of people and get paid to do something you love GWAT all the way!
Cons
I can honestly say I don't have anything negative to say about my time at Global, maybe having to leave?

Great Job, Low Pay
Dec 6, 2022 - Arrival Coordinator in Vancouver, BCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Amazing work environment - Not just a great office but a fun, positive and close-knit team that really cares about you. Free lunches every now and again with company events every quarter. I find the position rewarding personally as you get to help people experience travel, often for the first time. Basic health benefits.
Cons
Extremely low pay considering the level that we perform at and the skills needed for the job, not to mention the market value salary of any other coordination role in the same city. No opportunities for growth with management positions almost always being hired for externally.

Very innovative product & tech. Leader of the industry. Great office vibes and colleagues. Able to go on a free trip each year plus dogs in the office. What can you not like about working in travel?
Cons
Not a con, but its very busy and a fast paced environment which means some people don't make it and leave for easier work.

Great coworkers but let down by change in benefits and lack of trust/transparency from C-level
Oct 4, 2022 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Coworkers were absolutely amazing people, really great in-office environment for the most part - WeWork building has free coffee and happy hours & is dog friendly - Occasional employee events hosted by the company - Immediate team members/managers were super helpful and easy to work with
Cons
- Relatively low pay for what's expected of you - No trust in employees, company uses screen recording software to track everything you do - No exit interviews to get authentic feedback on how to improve the business for employees or understand why there is such high turnover - Travel benefits were changed/removed/exaggerated from what was offered (international office visits are not paid for by the company, product famil trips are usually only offered to high level sales management or up, annual travel bonus was removed in Canada, and does not include flights for other offices) - Canadian office recently gained medical coverage (pro) however this was then used as an excuse to revoke the free annual trip, annual performance bonus, and cut PTO time in half for new hires - Much more behind the scenes complaints bc most employees are too afraid to face backlash
