I worked at Global Yellow Pages for less than a year

    Pros

I worked at Global Yellow Pages full-time for less than a year

      Pros

Friendly colleagues, close knit, good location

      Cons

Was hired for a month and got retrenched. Was told that the company was not doing well and thus they have to dissolve the department. They would have known before hiring as that only happened a month ago. Why hire and retrench within such short period of time? The management was not transparent enough

      Advice to Management

Be transparent to employees as well as candidate during interview. Please have a proper planning when it comes to hiring!

      Cons

Stress to meet sales targets can be quite great at times. As form what is observed form the permanent staff, failure to meet monthly sales quota results in strong pressure from upper management to perform well the next quarter. Sales departments sees quite a high turnover.
