Pros
I'm on my 4th month here at GoPro and I can genuinely say the culture here is the best I've worked in. GoPro is very inclusive, promotes a healthy/active lifestyle, work/life balance and the benefits and perks are amazing. I have no regrets in joining GoPro and look forward to many years here.

GoPro sets the standard for work/life balance. I have taken 30+ days off this year and it hasnt been an issue. You work hard when needed and youre allowed to enjoy life. Workplace culture is a very relaxed and everyone is open to collaboration.
Cons
Being too chill can be a bad thing. Everyone seems to be coasting and no one really is pushing the line. Most of the talent has left in the past year and the company is really riding the slowing momentum of 'the brand'. The company has not backfilled positions after the layoffs so everyone is spread super thin and isnt able to really do one or two things to their maximum potential. Everything is done to the minimum needed to get by.

1. No cross functional requirement, no real strategic technical direction, company lacks a CTO (and worse ever doesn't even feel the need to hire one) 2. You can get laid off anytime, there have been 3 massive lay offs that has happened in the past year 3. People blindly follow the execs or otherwise put they don't have a say which makes the priorities and focus shift overnight
