I worked at Goken America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Company pays during training period, friendly hr and recruiters. Good work hours , little bit helps on improving on my CAD skills.

    Cons

Management expectations is more, clarity on project assignment is not clear, More preference given to more experienced guys, Americans preferred for managers, had bad experience on my second day of job the talk was indirectly pointing to question on job security. Project assignment depends on Honda, Ts tech until they call you you will be at Tech centre so it might take days to months.

    Advice to Management

Assign people to project quickly, not sure who is the manager there are three people monitoring new people and it looks like there is a confusion. Proper attention is not given on training, and people should be given chance to improve, if you can't give it don't hire people. Also, please give feedback to everyone and rather than doing partiality, giving feedback to few people and neglecting others. Do you guys need your ex employee not to work in USA after terminating the job? Don't put a restriction we cannot work 18 months with your competitors. If the organization doesn't have challenges to face its competition, I don't know what advice management could get

I worked at Goken America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Opportunity to work at major automobile company. Pay was decent for work. Good cafeteria. 5 insurance plans, 401k, life, 10 days pto. Onsite team was mostly friendly.

    Cons

Since you are a contractor they can fire you for no reason. The sole reason the company exists is so the automobile company can fire you and say they have never laid anyone off. Communication between Goken was nonexistent, so if there was an issue, you would not know. There is no performance feedback. Most of the time you are provided with what you need, but there are times were you aren't. A lot of members (regardless from where) have a Superiority complex. There seemed to be a lot of "voluntary" events and meetings.

    Advice to Management

Provide expectations and communication to employees.

I have been working at Goken America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Consistently 40 hours per week of work. No micromanagement. Not terrible if you're a recent college grad.

    Cons

Zero transparency about expectations, schedule, tools, training, OT, benefits, etc. You can expect nothing but vagueness until you press enough buttons. The 'pay raise' is a joke and doesn't even keep up with inflation, plus you can expect pay to start low (below industry average) and stay low because management is too busy with "important stuff" to bother with addressing pay issues. In fact, there is little communication with management about matters such as promotion, flexibility, family matters/conflicts, etc. If you do anything their main client doesn't like, they will not back you up, you must fend for yourself, unless you can prove that there are regulations that are being broken or you're being treated unfairly. Health benefits are basically one step above catastrophic coverage, expect high deductibles.

    Advice to Management

Offer incentives to improve employee performance and productivity. The "do a good job or else" approach is not enough to keep talented people on your team. Also, understand your employee's actual work environment and offer pay/benefits that are enough for them to actually stay financially afloat. Negotiate with clients to make sure your employees aren't being subjected to work that is not reasonable or aligned with what they committed to when they were on-boarded. Take into account pay and living costs of the areas where they are deployed and don't blow them off when they present concerns.

I have been working at Goken America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

OT pay, Insurance paid for by the company, willing to work with you to find a position that you are happy with

    Cons

No options for Insurance, only one choice which is a high deductible plan. No job security since it is a staffing company.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to communicate more with employees but overall a good company to work for.
