Good place to start out and get experience
Apr 21, 2021 - Cage Cashier in Las Vegas, NVRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Flexibility with time off, decent starting pay, decent tips, well organized, uniform cleaned for you, free daily meal.
Cons
Lack of advancement opportunities, no raises at all, have to pay $40 monthly for parking.
- Former Employee★★★★★
Small benefits to stay compared to major casinos.

I'm allowed to work how I want, no one bothers me, and I'm kept busy.
Cons
Lots of lies from HR when you start working. Guy who did orientation bragged about the EDR, but when confronted that is was extremely small and subpar he suddenly switched tones and said its due to financial issues, even though they just told us that the CEO spent tens of millions of dollars completely refurnishing the meeting rooms(Where you're not allowed to be). They'll tell you that you have to pay for parking somewhere because they don't have space for an employee parking garage, but the busted up lot I've been parking in for months is suddenly for guests only? So they own a big lot, but won't build a garage for employees? Must be more financial issues. Employees are not allowed to use the pool unless they buy a hotel room. Reason for that? Because they have around 4000 employees and if everyone goes at the same time it would be overcrowded. Oh and to get that hotel room at a discount you have to sign up and pay a monthly fee for their discount program. Which isn't bad if you like to eat at Claim Jumper a lot. And ignore all the discounts on the employee website, those are for Landry employees.

Pros
Good hours, most of workers were nice, pays very well and have possibilities to make more with upselling to higher rooms.
Cons
Had to pay for parking, couldn't bring uniform home, rude guests all the time, no perks, management is very unorganized and is constantly tightening the policies making it hard to keep track, housekeeping sucks so constantly getting complaints from guest, management is very unwilling to help guests out and give more than buffets or a measly food credit, a lot of rude co workers as well, always getting punished instead of praised for the good things we do.

Cons
pay for parking, management always threatening to write people up instead of helping them.

unfair and bias working environment
May 11, 2015 - Front Desk Agent in Las Vegas, NVRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
employee dining pay starts out relatively good
Cons
no parking for employees (you must pay everyday to park or buy a pass for another casino garage) unless you're of ethnic background ( non white) you will be shunned and deemed unimportant cannot request any time off for important things (doctor appts., court etc) without getting 'points' (said points affect upsell payout) uniforms are not cleaned properly and smell awful too much gossip and management participates too!

Not bad, but not great. Always have your feelers out for something better.
Aug 20, 2015 - Security Officer in Las Vegas, NVRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Nice property (awesome pool), decent coworkers, EDR; 40 hours a week, job itself can be fun sometimes, got hired with very little security experience, option to transfer departments after 6 months of employment.
Cons
No employee parking, paying for our OWN discounts and 'benefits' that end up costing over $100 from each paycheck; security department is underpaid, usually overworked/over-stressed (especially on swing shift), and horribly unappreciated -- most security guards either quit or transfer out within 9 months tops.
