I have been working at GoldenSource Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

GS is on a roll. The hard work of the last few years is paying off. Sales are up. Market buzz is increasing. And we are receiving in-bound calls from prospects and partners.

    Cons

Given the significant ramp up in sales, everyone is very busy - pre sales, sales, development, delivery and support,

I have been working at GoldenSource Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Recently shifted into more of a managed service delivery company than a pure software company which has had numerous benefits to the internal operation of the company and also with value proposition to the market. Consequently winning business across Americas, Europe and Asia in multiple industry segments. A feeling that the current executive management are getting it right. Also the change to product verticals that divide EDM into specific value propositions has been game changing. Some former employees starting to return which is a reflection on the positive momentum. Concerted all-guns-blazing challenges from the likes of Smartstream's RDU and Markit EDM to displace GoldenSource at a number of Tier 1s have been completely unsuccessful which has also had a galvanising effect inside the company. There is a real buzz about the place now.

    Cons

GoldenSource is now a global company so communication among the various locations is a challenge and can lead to long days bridging Asia and the Americas. The company needs to invest in partnerships to help scale the company to the next level. Goldensource has historically had a tendency to try to go It alone.

    Advice to Management

Invest in partnerships, move from managed service to true cloud and try to mutualize services across clients to really harness the network effect that is starting to develop.

    Pros

Almost none at present. use to be reasonably good company in the past until new MD was appointed in Mumbai

    Cons

No good will in the Market , No Product Road Map Direction, Still using the very out dated technology , All talented people left or forced to go. Leadership plays politics and selfish agendas . Company left with mediocre people with no clue on how to move forward.

    Advice to Management

Time for turn around is gone now, you listened to the people playing politics and having no clues. You ran out of all options , End of the Road ... New management couldn't bring any change in last two years other than laying off people

    Pros

It once shined bright and high

    Cons

The don't know how to innovate themselves. It's in the gutters now.

    Advice to Management

If a dungeon dweller making a cut throat income compared to his US "GoldenSource" counterpart states that the company is beyond help means Mr. Debbane and his minions can't save you!

    Pros

Company is heading in right direction under real energetic new management. Great values, good talent and spirited new management should bring this company back on its feet sooner.

    Cons

Considering long term goal and mission there has a been a restructuring in the company. Jobs are being laid off across all geographies but with the only intention to retain good talent and shred cost.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the same tempo. But obviously no more lay offs please

    Pros

When things were good they were great. The people were good at their jobs it was a good place to work.

    Cons

People were earning paychecks for non performance. GS did not move into the 21st century when it's competitors did. And so it has gone down

    Advice to Management

Move forward with fresh ideas in order to compete. Listen to those who have some history with the company instead of going with the flow.

    Pros

Awesome company. I was originally attracted by the great mix of deep domain expertise and passion to change both the industry and the company. I continue to be impressed by the staff and the clients

    Cons

There is always room for improvement. But we are aggressively going after each of them
