    Working with set of highly technical bunch of people.

    Cons

    work life balance. With half the amount of people as compared to other companies, they get the same work done.

    Advice to Management

    My suggestion to the management would be to give more opportunities to senior folks.

    definitely some silos, everyone is very focused on just what is in front of them, can feel lonely

    Fast paced environment, work with high caliber people, a company where you will grow personally and develop incredible professional skills. Cares about it's people

    Cons

    Not a place where you will retire from, growth opportunities will stop for majority of people and culture doesn't allow for people to remain in current role. Either moving up or moving out

    People are genuinely helpful - not as much bickering between employees like some of the other big banks.

    Cons

    Commission structure changes year over year. So matter how well or poorly you do, the next year will be adjusted so you always trend to average.

    Awesome team work environment , ability to move around GS is seen as good thing. A lot of personal development programs

    Cons

    Work balance , horrible hours , teams are often undermanned , tough deadlines , managers or VPs can sometimes be little to no help

    Challenging work that forces you to grow professionally. You get sizable responsibilities early on in your career. Company is best in class in an admittedly challenged sector.

    Cons

    Hours can be long and this can sometimes mean having to walk a tight rope between personal and work life.

    Advice to Management

    Give a bit more thought to junior retention. It's (literally) the future of the firm.
