Involvement in the big picture for juniors
More technical work than equivalent positions at competitors
    High prestige in the field
    Mentoring culture

Improving retention through work life balance when timers is a top down cultural change; the name is great but does not justify consistently underpaying your juniors versus competition.

    Pros

Looks great on your CV and opens a lot of doors.

Good place to start the learning journey if you don't have a lot of background.

    Cons

Generally, incredibly political and ruthless, but depends on the team. Watch out!!!

Below market rate pay for graduate role, with twice as much work

    Advice to Management

If you want to be a tech company you have to pay engineers the market rate, otherwise they will just go to alternatives

I have been working at Goldman Sachs full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Lot of learning as you are surrounded by a extremely smart set of people
    - People push you for the highest quality of work

    Cons

    - Very very long hours (17-18 hours a day)
    - Bangalore role is a mid office role - so exit options are not that great
    - Top management doesn't care about career growth for Bangalore analysts

    Advice to Management

Would be great if they lay a better career progression path for Bangalore analysts. For eg, if they a person has already worked for 2 years as an analyst in Bangalore, why does he/she have to start at 'Analyst 0 level' in the front office. Important to note that the work of an analyst in a mid-office is not very different from that of an analyst in the front office as it is mainly a desk job (Excel analysis, PowerPoint and ensuring deal work flow)
