I worked at Goldman Sachs full-time

    Pros

    - Smart people, everyone is driven for delivery
    - People are extremely busy and yet they are willing to help
    - Relatively flat structure, in a sense you can approach senior people regardless of your level on the basis that you definitely know what you are talking about
    - The diversity program the firm is running is really good
    - Flexible working environment with proper technology that makes it possible to work anywhere

    Cons

    - Performance review is not as transparent as it sounds
    - Very political environment as the firm thinks everyone is good at their job, so everyone is trying to stand out by playing politics

    Advice to Management

    - Focus more to make the performance review and compensation more transparent

    Pros

Smart people who are extremely driven and willing to go the extra mile for their clients. You will learn fast, and will be able to run your own projects at a fairly junior level.

    Cons

Difficult to maintain a healthy work life balance at a junior level, with some seniors micro managing their junior team. High-school like culture in some teams.

    Advice to Management

Junior retention is often an issue because of the internal politics and the review system needs to be a bit more transparent

    Pros

Surrounded by intelligent, hard-working and motivated people. Onsite facilities are great: gym, doctor, dentist, physio, etc.

    Cons

Comp at the end of the year doesn't always match expectations, and can be frustrating that it's never transparent how it is calculated and how you are ranked versus peers.
