I worked at Goldman Sachs full-time for more than a year

    Pros

At Goldman you'll work with very highly motivated peers in a high pressure environment. You'll be expected to produce high quality work at all times. It's a great culture and brings the best out of a certain type of person.

    Cons

Expect long hours. However, these hours are offset by a high degree of responsibility, even for junior employees, and a supportive environment.

I have been working at Goldman Sachs full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Engaging work and good benefits.

    Cons

Long hours, no clear path for promotion,

    Advice to Management

Invest more in the Dallas office and make sure people feel valued. When you send leadership from NY and GB, tell them not to feel so obviously superior to everyone here. It’s demoralizing.

I worked at Goldman Sachs for less than a year

    Pros

My review is for technology side only but it's almost all the same in other divisions except may be hours could be worse in securities, PE, IB. Overall, go with guts ie Google, Microsoft, Facebook are so much better in hours, pay, culture and people esp for young tech guys

    Cons

Long hours even in technology Lack of work life balance Constant stress Miserable and unhappy people ie people rarely smile or throw a joke Poor management skills Poor training program ie the program is there but there is no time to do it. Work consumes everything

    Advice to Management

Tech industry is so much better for young and smart folks
