    Pros

Free Snacks and Drinks in the kitchen. The beer bash were cool. The work sometimes are interesting. There are some smart people there but there's also people that are *just* there.

    Cons

The company will work you till you break. Deadline after deadline along with customer issues. They expect you do commit to schedule they gave you and handle all unexpected customer issues at the same time.

I worked at Good Technology (More than a year)

    Pros

Smart people, impressive products and solutions, great team spirit

    Cons

By now it's a well told tale; not every company with a hugely inexperienced first time CEO at the helm pays this steep a price, but then not every first time CEO is this arrogant, has the ego the size of a small planet and simply refuses to listen to people who're clearly a lot smarter. Wait, that last one falls under arrogance.

Of course there were challenges, but nothing insurmountable and certainly nothing countless other CEO's haven't faced and overcome. Unfortunately this CEO had absolutely no idea what to do, but the cardinal sin was being too arrogant and too egotistical to admit it. Leveraging the experience and counsel of those around you is called leadership, ignoring it, in this humble writers opinion, makes you unfit to lead.

Now comes the rewriting of history. That's what the victors get to do. Only this time it's not the people who spent years building the company who emerge victorious. The handful in the money will be lucky to buy a 5 year old Volkswagen diesel. The victors are the CEO and CFO who, as they grasp at their 30 pieces of silver, are now weaving a tale worthy of Brothers Grimm. If you read the CliffsNotes it just says "It was everybody else's fault". It was a recalcitrant board member, it was market conditions, it was the failure of a competitor, it was bad luck. Or, just maybe, it was hubris on an unprecedented scale.

    Advice to Management

    The End.

I have been working at Good Technology full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people and products are/were awesome. I learned a lot.

    Cons

Good is/was a high octane environment. A year here is like 4 years anywhere else. So you'll learn a lot, but you'll need to be adept at managing you own stress levels.

I worked at Good Technology full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company had very smart engineers and an amazing technology. Benefits were good and it was an extremely professional environment.

    Cons

Company's exit was no where near what anyone expected. There was a lack of transparency and trust from executive management in the company.

    Advice to Management

At this point, the advise is to the new owners. Be as transparent and honest with your employees as you can be. Do not make false promises and if you have a problem, do not pretend that it doesn't exist.
