I have been working at Goodman Manufacturing full-time

    Pros

Expansion, growth from within the company, Good hrs., competitive pay, excellent benefits, bonuses. An evolving company with allot of promise. Exciting times to be a part of.

    Cons

Older out of date computer systems. Paperwork, filing and procedures seem excessive. Fragmented resources relating to product information leading to much more time wasted.

    Advice to Management

Less paperwork = more efficiency and sales opportunity. Better self service tools, customer access to prices and availability. Newer polished windows based system?

    Pros

Fast growing company, cooperative work environment, plenty of opportunities (especially with their new campus), stable industry, outstanding internship program.

    Cons

Managers seemed overworked. Company seemed a little disorganized at times. Perhaps a tad too much tribal knowledge, but it was getting better.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up. My manager gave an excellent combination of praise and continuous feedback which I appreciated a lot. Take a vacation!

I worked at Goodman Manufacturing as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Company really cared about their interns. Held lots of social events. Great atmosphere. Seeing tour of different facilities was great.

    Cons

If you aren't too familiar with HVAC it is a bit overwhelming, especially for procurement. Also, different areas were too spread out over Houston.

    Advice to Management

Awesome that the Daikin building is going up! Was great to see such a big investment into the company. Hearing back from HR is a tad bit too long though. I don't know if that's from the managers or HR directly.
