    Pros

    - Good brand recognition
    - Culture / People Philosophy
    - Work / Life Balance
    - Big enough company to offer lots of career growth but small enough to make a difference

    Cons

    - Compensation plan offers little flexibility for top performers and potentially overpays the really low performers

    Advice to Management

Keep pushing the development of a positive culture and CI.
Don't be so conservative, some calculated risks should be taken.

    Pros

People are great. Diversity of personel. Opportunities to learn new things. Good compensation. Positive environment.

    Cons

Sometimes departments are understaffed, so you don't always get the opportunity to spend as much time on a project as you would like to. Work load can be intense.

    Advice to Management

Provide more opportunities for promotion. Often times hard workers just get more work because they are handling a large load. Fairness of work distribution is overlooked.

    Pros

    Benefits, Training, Community, Co Workers

    Cons

It is an old school corporation, so things move a little slow, but not as bad as you would expect.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing.

    Pros

plenty of work to be done, new projects are in the future. project teams are widely disciplined and well rounded. the facilities are brand new and the staff is relatively new as well. good place to start fresh with a good group of people.

    Cons

growing pains are present. there is a need to write processes for anything that needs to be done, its a new business so this stuff is not in place yet.

    Advice to Management

employees need some convincing to work harder. the program management has some middle man issues. if employees are pushed to get just stuff done than the schedule issues will no longer be issues...

    Pros

Great Benefits, Great Team, lots of Growth

    Cons

lack of mentorship, pay below average for position and location, very little support for new comers

    Advice to Management

Create a mentorship/buddy program, not looking for a babysitting just a great development program for staff to increase their leadership potential.

I worked at Goodrich full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Flexible schedule
    - People philosophy
    - Benefits (at least while still it was Goodrich)
    - Tuition reimbursement
    - Lots of career advancement opportunity
    - Great group of people
    - Appreciation lunches and recognition dinners
    - Product worked on, the smart probe was a great starting point in my career.
    - Learned a lot about the Aerospace industry and seems like the way to go for me
    - A lot of talented people
    - People willing to go above the call of duty to help out!!! (I miss them all already)

    Cons

    - Schedules not realistic
    - A lot of late nights/weekends (expected)
    - Raises are mediocre
    - Office politics
    - Too much focus on things that need improvement vs. successful accomplishments throughout the year on performance review
    - Too much paperwork (not just here, everyone has to comply to FAA/EASA)

    Advice to Management

Become involved in all projects, not just the one's that are behind. One of the reasons I left was because I felt left out, and the work I was doing as not important. Become more aware of people's accomplishments along with things they can improve on. Kinda feel that the negative outshines the positive accomplishments.
