I worked at Goodwill full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Helping customers with disabilities overcome difficulties and teaching them career development skills. Management encouraged and provided continuous training and self-improvement workshops.

    Cons

Management seemingly turned their heads when supervisors were managing and treating their staff poorly, which some were notorious for. Not much room for advancement.

    Pros

Full time, there are no other pros.

    Cons

Terrible managment on a power trip. I felt like I was working as a slave. Our bodies could not be touching the table we were working on standing up (In a back room where no customers could see) meanwhile management would just sit and relax while sorting things. terrible.

    Advice to Management

    Change completely.

I have been working at Goodwill part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Brick people will work together . Two good store managers named Roger and Eric . Eric is the man to go to if you want a problem solved, he understands and has class.

    Cons

a little better pay.- a more respect for workers

    Advice to Management

Act normal, treat people with respect, too many bosses who thinks they know everything and they really don't. Tell employees that a job well done once in a while for them to encourage and have a smile on their faces.

I worked at Goodwill part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone in the store works as a team. You have a uniform so you don't have to worry yourself on what to wear.

    Cons

The upper management forget how it is to run a productive store when their are no hours for your associates. They cut everyone's hours.

    Advice to Management

I understand you want to make a profit but that's not going to happen with a Skeliton crew. Everyone is more angry because your doing three jobs instead of the one job successfully!!
