    Pros

flat organization. Focused on the vital few items versus keeping busy. SAP backbone made it easier for transactional work.

During the private equity phase of the company, cashflow sometimes took a back seat to progress due to the bank covenants.

I worked at Goodyear Engineered Products full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I have no pros - I would not recommend that anyone apply at the St. Marys plant.

    Cons

Very disorganized, no real policies to hold people accountable to (hourly or salary) old, dirty, neglected facility. A lot of old undependable equipment and manufacturing processes.

    Advice to Management

Wake up and get it together. Need new and experienced leadership!

    Pros

You can lear a lot about your field. There's people with tons of knowledge and they know how to get things done. A lot of know how attitude.

    Cons

Management is stocked and screwed to their positions. They don't like young people to take their positions or to advance in any way.

I worked at Goodyear Engineered Products full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get a break every two hours and lunch is paid unlike at other factories. They show appreciation for the good work you do instead of just expecting it to be part of your job unlike other employers. You start out as a temp and if they think you've worked well they hire you straight on. They pay well.

    Cons

Standing for 12 hrs and lifting boxes with heavy hose above shoulder height. Swing shift is hard to have a family life and still work. They kinda have a sexual harassment problem.

    Advice to Management

Watch your employees closer. Some of them shirk responsibilities and leave the line and others are a lawsuit waiting to happen.
