I have been working at Google as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Generally fun and casual work atmosphere with (as they have a reputation for) perks and flexible work hours. Interns have organized social events and fun projects with lots of passionate, bright and inviting people who want to help you learn.

    Cons

Interns aren't placed with a group until after they accept an offer, so they may not end up where they wanted or anticipated.

I have been working at Google as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Smart stuffs to meet and learn. Product used by millions of people. The payment is relatively good. Free to week and play.

    Cons

The meals are not as good as before. The recruiter asks me for my transcript, though my GPA is not low but this is not something a leading tech company should do. They should focus more on your accomplishment before.

    Pros

    Free food
    Good connections
    Great work life balance
Lots of fun activities within team and within intern community
    Lots of employee benefits

    Cons

Intern community not as strong in remote offices.
Can get stuck working on boring projects
Time to get ramped up on systems unique to Google is large. Real work is not expected for full time employees for a few months.

    Advice to Management

Make intern program more efficient with project matching being more fluid. First call seems like a must to take. Other than that, the experience was great.

    Neutral Outlook

    Pros

For a prospective software engineer who is in college, I do not think there is a much better place to work. Unparalleled internal learning resources, very smart team members, very good pay, great perks.

    Cons

Huge organization and you are rolling the dice as to whether you'll get an interesting project and a fun team.

    Advice to Management

I have no advice for upper management.

I have been working at Google as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

I got to do what I love most and that is doing things that matter. Like other interns I was treated like a normal employee instead of some one to get coffee
    Great pay for interns
    Fantastic benefits

    Cons

A lot of hard work and can be very stressful at times. Work can go past 40 hours a week which can take an effect on your work life balance

I have been working at Google as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Work is very challenging, culture is fantastic. There is always something going on and it's easy to get yourself involved in anything, even if it's outside your area of expertise.

    Cons

Be prepared to spend huge amounts of time teaching yourself most of what you need to know.
If you can get to know people early, this isn't so bad.
