I worked at Gordon College (Massachusetts) full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

A strong student body, many dedicated faculty members, and an attractive campus setting

    Cons

Religiously rigid, administratively vindictive, filled with faux friendliness, anti-LGBT, in short, a welcoming place for the small-minded.

    Advice to Management

Do a better job by hiring fewer administrative staff and more outstanding faculty. Pay faculty decent salaries and stop withdrawing retirement benefits. Listen to faculty, staff, and student complaints; and respond to them rather than being defensive about them. Be more inclusive.

If possible, increase pay of adjuncts to relate to the amount of work they do.

    Cons

There are some that are there, who have been there for a long time, that should not productive members of the community.

    Advice to Management

There are many who work in the trenches every day that could use some additional support and encouragement.
