If possible, increase pay of adjuncts to relate to the amount of work they do.

    Cons

    - Fast-paced and efficient while maintaining personability

I worked at Gordon College (Massachusetts) part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My supervisors and colleagues were very helpful and pleasant to work with. I always knew what was expected of me and was trained when a new task was introduced.

    Cons

I worked as a student, some times it was difficult to complete the tasks that were mandated of me and I had to deal with input from multiple people above me which could be confusing.

    Advice to Management

Have one person in charge of specific areas so there are not multiple people micromanaging.

    Pros

Very friendly people work here, one can develop deep connections with their co-workers as well as help the college in their work.

    Cons

Initial pay was not very good, would not recommend if you are looking to make a hefty paycheck, is life only about money?

    Advice to Management

Not much advice to give to management, management was very friendly and accommodating. It is a blessing to be managed by these people.

I have been working at Gordon College (Massachusetts) full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

great community, real sense of helping each other and building each other up, christian atmosphere-- not cut throat like a lot of college staffs. real sense of nurturing younger employees and growing them. Vacation time is a great perk also... seems you always have more than you need

    Cons

lots of division between faculty, staff and students right now. can sometimes make the environment tense. (this due to recent media attention around religious freedoms and an attention hungry professor not willing to accept blame for blatantly disobeying college rules that she'd already agreed to)

    Advice to Management

listen to everyone, not just the loud few.
