I have been working at Grab full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    1. Potential valuable stock awards 2. Leader in the ride hailing industry in South East Asia. And other growing areas in addition to ride hailing like Food, Express Delivery, Groceries and many more to come. 3. Unicorn startup with a huge market shares. 4. Work that I am doing is directly impacting our customers. 5. Above average base pay for the area. 6. Work-time is flexible, more task driven. 7. Despite being...

    Cons

    1. Some projects are cross-sites (although not common) and those requires collaboration across time-zones. 2. Company grew too fast, getting things to market fast is important to grab market shares. Thereby accumulating tech debts. 3. Moving from startup to established company often require some amount of process. Need to define those process.

    Advice to Management

    1. Limit the amount of projects that is cross R&D centers.

I have been working at Grab full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Interaction with accomplished yet humble people - Exposure to senior leadership across the organization in the process - Will move fast as long as you keep clearing each hurdle (had 5 interviews) - Honest and open feedback during stages, as appropriate (talent team is on the ball) - Transparency while discussing offer - Key test: alignment with Grab vision, so please speak with a few Grabbers and introspect as...

    I worked at Grab

    Pros

I really enjoyed working in Grab and worked with great team that truly values the principal of Grab. Great offices and flexibilities are some of the Pros that I can highlight.

    Cons

Poor Snr leadership in finance department which lead to high turnover in 2018 and 2019. Directions are not kept open and work with hidden agendas. Favorism is high and clearly visible in finance Dept. HR business partner is not efficient and notably one sided to support the snr leadership

    Advice to Management

Management team should do an independent study / feedback to understand the issues faced by employees and take corrective steps.

I worked at Grab full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Bosses give you autonomy to run your day-to-day tasks - Competitive salary - Ability to work from home or wherever you are - Seeing how your work contributed positively to the lives of the community (drivers and passengers) - Colleagues and bosses became friends, we would often have after-work social activities

    Cons

    - Work life balance was close to zero - Office environment (at that time) was rather dull - Business priorities shifted all the time, which is expected of any tech unicorn

I have been working at Grab full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I've interacted with a lot of employees due to the nature of my work, and only 1% have shown very very negative traits - the rest have been collaborative, positive, friendly, and genuinely nice. The work is very challenging and it forces you to really apply critical thinking processes to get tasks done. My department is highly autonomous and does not micromanage - something I thrive in. Facilities are clean, security...

    Cons

The organization chart is very very big and wide, so it might take some time to figure out who should you approach to for what vertical etc. Also, business needs are ever changing so being nimble and objective is key to staying afloat.

    Advice to Management

None at the moment. All is ok with me.
