    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Grace Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

We have a great team, and work together to get the job done. I love our residents and it is a pleasure to be able to provide the care for them that they are unable to do for themselves.

    Cons

We often work very short-handed and have too many residents to give them the best care they need and deserve.

    Advice to Management

Listen more to the employees and try to fix problems as they arise. Many times it seems like theres an open door policy, but then nothing gets done to resolve the issues.

    Pros

Pay was good but that is how they lure you in

    Cons

Do not work here!!! This is the awfulest place to work ever ... They treat their employees like robots and do not appreciate anything you do or how many hours you work they were you out with overtime literally will let you work double after double and never say thanks just walk by you like you don't exsist

    Advice to Management

They need a revamp from don to floor managers they never help and walk by you without knowing what kind of nurses or staff they have taking care of their patients

    Pros

Most co-workers are friendly and willing to work together.

    Cons

Very difficult to get time off approved.

    Advice to Management

Hire more nurses to allow nurses the time off they need.

I worked at Grace Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Light atmosphere, good coworkers

    Cons

Upper Management doesn't care about the employee as an individual. The longest tenured employee is only 16 years. They will force anyone out the door at any time. In my 3 years with them, it happened to no less than 15 people company wide, and eventually me as well.

    Advice to Management

Your benefits package is poor compared to other companies. And if you truly want to Serve from the heart, then recognize when employees are all in, and reward that instead of forcing them to resign.

I worked at Grace Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Coworkers are great. You form a bond from going through each horrific day there. Just like people in a support group bond, you bond with them in hopes of making it until 5:00pm!

    Cons

ZERO support from management. NONE!! Nothing is ever enough. The company is in a constant state of disarray. Extremely high turnover rate of both field & office based staff. No respect. Overall just disgusting

    Advice to Management

Get it together! You continue to use & abuse people, burn them out and sit back and chuckle while you let people bring their dogs and kids to the office. Burn sage and use breast pumps right at their desk while working.

I worked at Grace Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Most coworkers were easy to get along with,

    Cons

DON and upper mgmt does not care about CNA's. They do not handle complaints or problems and you can not report any kind of inappropriate behavior without them turning it around on you and eventually running you off or firing you.

    Advice to Management

CNA's are what keeps that place running and without them what would you do? The DON there now needs to step back and take a look at how she treats her employees and maybe show a little compassion and treat them with respect.

    Pros

The co-workers for the most part are great. The people there that do work hard work very hard and love what they do. The residents are great to be around and the ability to help others.

    Cons

Lack of true compassion for employees. Management does not listen to the staff. They only listen to a select few and only hear what they want to hear. They twist things to fit what they want to see and only what they want to see.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to employees.

Great, supportive team. Room of growth. Great administrator.

    Cons

Industry wide problem you would find working anywhere in long term care.

    Advice to Management

    More communication and training. More
    Holding staff accountable.
