    Positive Outlook

I worked at Grace Living Centers part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I enjoyed coming to work everyday to see the residents. I would greet them with a smile and kind words, they really appreciated it.

    Cons

Some of the staff wasn't very friendly to each other. Personal issues seemed to get in the way of individual jobs and duties.

    Advice to Management

My advice would be to look for more friendly people for hire, people who care about the job and task at hand.

    Pros

It is a success to building my career, it has education funds to help achieve your goals. C.N.A. is one of my options to start working on that mission

    Cons

The one thing that I've learned was that working with and around seniors is that no matter how good you are in your field, They are always right even when wrong.

I worked at Grace Living Centers full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I don't see any Pros to working for Grace Living Centers.

    Cons

Wants to pay people as little as they can get by with and make them work short or do 4 jobs at the same time.

    Advice to Management

When someone is hired for a certain job let them do it and don't pull them to do other jobs.

I have been working at Grace Living Centers full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

5 star rating from Department of Health and the continuation of their focus on excellence. Continuing education for all departments and occupations. A way to be better educated in the nursing home setting.

    Cons

There is no disciplinary actions for those employees who come in late, call in, or a complete no call no show. Resident to staff ratio is bad! Nurses not having the necessary skills to take care of residents. Too much gossip!

    Advice to Management

Licensed nurses should not be promoted to Human Resources, or director of nursing or the assistant to the director just because they are lpns. They should have at least have some formal education and take some leadership classes/course.
