    Pros

    GraceKennedy is a great company. My co-workers were all extraordinary people. Everyone was willing to put in the necessary time and effort to get the job done. Everyone worked as a team.

    Cons

    The hours could some time be extensive.

    Pros

    Great company, down to earth and hard working staff. Managers are very approachable.

    Cons

    Management does not listen to staff.

    Advice to Management

    Senior Management needs to keep their ear closer to the ground to correct small problems before evolving into a bigger issue.

    Great Company! Excellent focus, improving strategies, young and dynamic leadership.

    Cons

    Inability to effectively communicate strategy and approaches the lower level staff
     May sometimes be perceived as uncaring.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to work on bridging the perceived gap between top management and operational staff. Create a mechanism that supports meaningful involvement of all staff.

    1. Very smart leaders who are willing to share their knowledge and experiences with their team
    2. The Company has a vision to be a truly global one, operating in all corners of the world, and is well poised to fulfill this mandate over the next few years

    Cons

    GK is Fairly new to the food distribution business in the USA, and thus the company going through teething pains associated with a startup. This has been frustrating for employees.

    Advice to Management

    Spend time to improve communication with staff, seek their input and feedback on ways to improve business. Focus on the long term growth of the business and recruit strong candidates for key roles

    Autocratic leaders/Low Salary and compensation package

    Advice to Management

    Review salaries at the clerical level to retain employees, offer better benefits packages and bonuses. Offer jobs to in-house persons who have the qualifications first.

    Pros

    Awesome opportunity for growth within the organization. Training is a top priority for this company and many opportunities for travel since it's been expanding globally.

    Cons

    Being a conglomerate... sometimes the subsidiaries are fractured especially when it comes to salaries, which is not the same across the board

    Please continue to review salaries.

    Working in the capacity of product manager at the most renowned food services institution in the Caribbean is the ideal place for young people to grow, especially in the field of marketing.

    The renumeration for is not adequate for the job requirements.

    Pros

    They live by their core values: Honesty, Integrity and Trust. The open door policy is a positive step towards maximizing communications at all levels.There isn't as much corporate bureaucracy as in other companies. Decisions are made fairly quickly.

    Cons

    Compensation isn't competitive. The company must do more in terms of base compensation in order to retain the most qualified employees.
