I worked at Graceway Pharmaceuticals full-time (More than a year)

Good way to get your foot in the pharmaceutical industy.

    Cons

Horrible management of patents and projections. The company floundered because their patent expired.

    Pros

Pay, field sales representatives are for the most part good and talented people. Some very good support people on the inside. Company car and gas.

    Cons

incompetence of management in planning for the future. Benefits have gone down hill. $3000 deductible now for healthcare. No matching in 401K. Constant pressure to meet high quotas. Never knowing when the next cut is coming.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like they are valued, not expendable pawns.

    Pros

Growing Company with room for advancement that rewards success. Management understands what has to be done to enable success.

    Cons

Small company still learning the ropes of the pharmaceutical business. Changing the payment of bonuses mid year and changing the rules of the game.

    Advice to Management

Promote from within it builds moral, Reward more than just the top 15 reps. The top 25 is more appropriate. These are individuals who perform at or above 100%.

    Pros

Great product, most home office people were available when called. Med Ed was great

    Cons

Communication is poor. Many promises zero follow through. Nepotism!

    Advice to Management

Train your managers, teach them how to communicate and motivate. Make sure they are working... lord knows mine took every December off.

    Pros

A lot of very nice, helpful people employed by the organization. Salaries are good and the company is happy to promote from within.

    Cons

Not everyone is treated equally. Recent layoffs of 40% of employees due to poor planning on upper managements part.

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone equally, men and women alike. Listen to recommendations from valued employees, who have many years experience.
