Thank you for sharing your feedback. It’s great to hear that you enjoyed your role. In part time positions, there can be limits on the number of hours that an employee can work in a given week. If you are looking for full time work, we’d recommend that you review all of the openings on jobs.gcu.edu.

    Pros

Our school is in a bad area, so working on campus seems safer than another job. Most of my coworkers are friendly and my manager is incredibly helpful and down to earth. Promotions are available and hours are flexible.

    Cons

Some coworkers are extremely unprofessional. Pay is low and you can only work up to 20 hours. At times, the job can be boring.

    Online Adjunct Faculty - Business

Nov 16, 2021 - Academic Year Adjunct Lecturer
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Many courses offered to teach all year round.

    Cons

The workload per online course is very large because of the class sizes. You typically have around 25 students per business course. Each course has two weekly Discussion Boards and due to the Participation requirements as well as other weekly assessments and responding to emails, a faculty who does her/his job properly can expect to work about 20 to 25 hours per week for eight weeks and earn less than $1800 for an undergraduate course and just over $2000 for a graduate level course. If you do the math that averages to around $10/hour.
