Pay. But I have to type 5 words here?
Cons
Pay for enrollment is comparatively high but the 'pain' you will go through in this place is not worth it. Employees of 2 years + are considered 'veterans'... They will lie to you and tell you the job is about servicing the students but please don't fall for this as counselor positions are all strictly numbers driven. Popularity over performance. All upper management is from UoP. The only thing consistent there is their inconsistency.

- Current Contractor★★★★★
Pros
The students are great and communication is generally easy. There is decent faculty support if you have a question.
Cons
Pay is for in class time only - no pay for prep or grading and you are expected to be available to students 7 days a week. University policy also lets students turn in work after the end of the semester.
- Current Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
The students are the same as students across the United States. They really need help. They want to learn.
Cons
• The Ajunct pay is extremely low; it is about 50% of what you can make at a regular State University. To teach a class that meets on campus 2 or 3 times a week, with an enrollment between 20-30 students, GCU will pay you $2,000 - $2,500 for the entire semester. • Moreover, you – the employee- have to pay for parking. • In addition, GCU expects you to attend on campus meetings and take on-going teaching quizzes about GCU to earn “certificates.” • The Learning Management System is the cheapest in the industry; it is called Loud Cloud and was not designed by educators. • The campus itself is very unattractive. • There is no library. • Turnover is very high among the employees and students with limited knowledge run the IT department.

Good culture and team work. The management was very supportive and responsive. Meaningful work and the students are above average compared to other online programs. Flexible work hours. Retirement plan.
Cons
The pay is low for the amount of work that is expected and no pay increase/cost of living raises.
