I worked at Grand & Toy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Large organization with many different departments. Great opportunity for entry level career development get your skills polished thdn move to a more stable organization. Many opportunities to work within different divisions to see how the organization runs.

    Cons

The company is completely responsible to their shareholders instead of employees. Human Resources is always there to provide a "buzz word" that the company rallies around for a year.. but offers no real support when actually required. Senior management is driven by numbers only.. and if you are not on plan, you are exited from the company. No real direction from senior team since everything is decided stateside from the HQ- they simply pass along copies of the head office directives. The entire company works in independent silos without any real team or department communication or forward strategy. 1% proactive and 99% reactive.
