    Pros

-Reputable organization with reasonable salaries and decent health benefits.
    -Flexibility in hours of work.
-Good marketing and promotion of product offering.
    -Good customer service.

    Cons

-Relatively frequent changes in ownership and management.
-Historically, a "Top-down" organization, slow to respond or embrace change.
-Management with outdated thought processes, completely out of touch with front-line employees.
-Hard work goes unrecognized, and often the most diligent employees become lost in the shuffle.

    Advice to Management

-Listen more carefully and thoughtfully to employees on the front line.
    -Manage proactively, not reactively.
-Look after employees first. The results will follow proportionately.

I worked at Grand & Toy full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people managing at the Regional Sales Level.

    Cons

Company is dying due to past management's bad decision making. They have gone from $800MM to under $500MM in only a few years while shedding in excess of 1500 people from a 2600 person company.

    Advice to Management

Continually laying off sales people in the hopes that you will grow the business isn't really a good strategy.

I worked at Grand & Toy (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Nice people to work with

    Cons

salary was constantly adjusted.. you build your business by bringing in new accounts, and look forward to the extra income, but mgmt would make changes, therefore making less and less over year

    Advice to Management

a lot of ideas came from the field/front line staff .. they are the ones face to face with the customers.. please take the time to listen as they have a lot of valuable information directly from your customers on how to be #1 in your industry..

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

There were really no pros. Only place I ever worked (at the corporate office) that we were discouraged from learning new trends in the industry

    Cons

Horrible work life balance, horrible atmosphere, discouraged from learning more about the digital industry trends, hours not flexible at all, horrible managers who are very condescending, managers have lack of knowledge about the digital space they are managing, stuffy dresscode, old school ways of thinking and running an office

    Advice to Management

Encourage learning and research, loosen up hours, bring in management that actually understand the digital space.
