I have been working at Grane Healthcare

    Pros

There is good opportunity for growth with the company. I have seen people promoted internally, and moved into roles they’ve requested. Management is very flexible with schedules and always takes their employees needs and opinions into consideration. Working in healthcare is a challenging field but there is a value placed on a team approach, and providing the very best care to the patients.

    Cons

Sometimes working outside of normal hours, but that’s not a con for the company it’s just what needs to be done in healthcare

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up

I worked at Grane Healthcare full-time for less than a year

    Pros

General orientation time spent really sells the company in a positive light. Makes new employees excited to work for the company.

    Cons

Limited specific training for this specific job. Spent no time with any other employer currently in position. Requires Liaison to spend own money then request reimbursement for expenses at least 2 weeks behind in payment. Unrealistic goals and inability to receive constructive criticism and/or suggestions related to barriers to success and how to be more successful. Operations at corporate level micromanage... managers/operators at satellite sites and are unaware of geographical data/feedback.

    Advice to Management

In order to be successful, management must take feedback seriously and be willing to change approach in certain geographic areas based on needs of clients and what competition is offering. Be more open to feedback and suggestions rather than being offended by it. Numerical data and numbers are important, but services, quality, uniqueness and attention to detail speaks volumes when dealing with hospice patients,... families and providers.

I have been working at Grane Healthcare full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great work environment and support from management. They are focused on a collaborative team environment, and are always celebrating successes in each department. Training with the company was comprehensive. Though I had not come from a background in hospice the staff and training program supplied me with a wealth of knowledge. Truly a great group of deeply caring and professional individuals.

    Cons

My role does require infrequent weekend work- not so much a con of the company, just part of the job in the healthcare field. The company does a great job supporting on call staff and ensuring a great work/life balance!

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

I have been working at Grane Healthcare part-time

    Pros

Nothing appealing about the RN Supervisor position. I felt more like a Unit Secretary....

    Cons

LPN 's pass meds only....the RN does everything else for them....Unit Secretary does not answer the phone....the R N does....so your tied to the phone all shift....your ADON's are LPN's....communication is beyond poor...LPN's are not to give report to each other...how stupid is that...I worked there for two months...so much chaos....to many rattlesnakes....I had to walk out the door....

    Advice to Management

get qualified staff for the Titles they hold.

    "Leadership environment"

    StarStarStarStarStar

I have been working at Grane Healthcare

    Pros

Flexible schedule for the most part. Appears laid back and friendly initially. Given laptop, phone and basic supplies. Hourly instead of per visit which benefits full time employees not necessarily part time or casual.

    Cons

Too many "chiefs ", more administrative staff than field workers. Very punitive environment. Every mistake is published to group emails which are absurd. Catchment area is too large for amount of staff.

    Advice to Management

    Training is very lacking.
