I have been working at Granite for more than 5 years

    Pros

Plenty of time off, travel and perdiem is a bonus, awesome technical education opportunities, on the job training. Six month prep school

    Cons

Have to hook up with a core team otherwise you will be frustrated by people who may not have the same work ethic

    Advice to Management

Make salaries transparent! Otherwise employees distrust you!

I worked at Granite for more than 3 years

    Pros

Travel everywhere, competitive pay. Good work experience. Get a lot of rewards for flying with the same brand and staying in the same hotel chains.

    Cons

Everyone is on an annual contract. At a moments notice Granite can stop this contract and say sorry, no more pay. Only come to Granite if desperate for a job. Always look for another job while hired on. Granite only sees you as a number, when they need to save a dollar they will throw you away. You will never feel part of a team. If you get an hourly contract they will stop working you when you get close to those... hours. Just remember, they don't care about you.

    Advice to Management

Be more loyal to your employees. They are the ones making the billions for your company only so you can throw them to the curb.

    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Granite full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Good Salary - work-life balance is ok

    Cons

    - Communicating with inside this company. - Managers have 60+ persons to manage and they don't even know who you are and how you are performing. - GE Training is terrible and make you learn stuff that are a complete loss of time. a special mention to the documentation for your job (which is GE documentation) which should receive the price of the worst documentation ever. - Nobody talks about your career growth... inside the company.

    - Define a clear plan for career growth. - Make the managers communicate of what they are expecting from their employees and make sure managers are listening to their employees. - increase the number of service managers so that they have few people to manage. - Fix HR
