I worked at Grant Thornton UK LLP

    Pros

Great office culture where everyone looks after each other and genuinely seems to care. Good opportunities for career advancement. Paid overtime.

    Cons

Pay not as good as big 4. Does get very demanding in busy season which can lead to bad work-life balance.

    Advice to Management

I'm not sure as i was only here for work experience so don't know too much about the ins and outs of how the company is managed

I have been working at Grant Thornton UK LLP full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - not being tied to your contract after qualifying - a lot of responsibility is given early on - relaxed culture

    Cons

    - shortage of people, meaning that you’re swimming in work suitable for an assistant manager when you’re still a trainee - work life balance can be non-existent (this could apply to most big accountancy firms though)

I have been working at Grant Thornton UK LLP full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Agile working environment, making a fantastic work-life balance. People are friendly and generally easy to work with. They have a progressive attitude towards an inclusive culture and seem to genuinely care about employee well being. Would absolutely work there again!

    Cons

Not a lot of social events throughout the year and can often feel disconnected. It can sometimes be difficult to change mindsets to different ways of working and a lot of focus has to be placed on getting a trickle down effect from the top.

    Advice to Management

Encourage teams that often work together to connect further by offering team building days or budget towards team events. There needs to be more engagement from senior management.
