    Pros

Pay is good, continuous improvement is great.

Bad ethical culture, poor treatment of workers from the top on down, and there is absolutely no work life balance. High turn over rate.

    Advice to Management

They've gotten plenty of advice over the last 5 years from everyone that is vacating this company.

I have been working at Graphic Packaging International full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good Salary
Good Benefits ( not the best, but are close to industry standards )
Company as a whole seems to be doing quite well. A recent acquisition of International Paper's North American Consumer Packaging Division should make the company even stronger.

    Cons

Lack of Communication from the top. ( There has been some turnover )
For a mill that seems to be making lots of money. The morale is terrible, you would think the mill is losing money.

    Advice to Management

    Try to boost the morale.

I worked at Graphic Packaging International full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good pay and benefits. Sense of family with colleagues in the same department. It’s good that corporate is investing for a capital expansion/relocation for the West Monroe converting plant.

    Cons

Within the last year, HR has been heavily recruiting younger personnel and at the same time giving notice to older workers that they will not be transitioning to the new plant. In addition, corporate core values are preached but not enforced if you are in the “right circles.” This negative culture shift has caused employee morale to plunge to all time lows.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach. It’s not always the best idea to force long time employees out for the sake of saving money on payroll and invest in younger people with no practical experience or loyalty. You are losing the dedicated ones and will suffer from a high turnover rate going forward.
