I have been working at Gravitate Solutions full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I have officially been at Gravitate for 1-month and I am excited about my decision. The staff are smart and engaged - and they have made me feel welcome. Equally as important, their data analytics platform, Nucleus, is as good as advertised. I came here to build that business and I believe we have a wonderful opportunity - we just need to execute. I wake up in the morning excited to come to work. How fun!

    Cons

None to report at this time.

I worked at Gravitate Solutions full-time for more than 9 years

    Pros

    - The staff are fully committed to doing right by each other and by the clients. Requests for help/second set of eyes/advice are met quickly and often with multiple people volunteering for each request. Folks truly care for one another, and care that the solutions delivered are the best bang for the time spent. -The caring of the team starts with management. The co-owners care about the staff as humans and not just...

    Cons

    - As the offerings grow, so too are the demands on staff. While hiring is a constant, it doesn't always keep apace with need, which can cause stress on those trying to maintain excellence. - The impulse to improve and streamline can create a lot of change, which can be taxing to track.

    Advice to Management

Continue putting the employees' sanity and happiness at the top of the priority list. Increase transparency and balance optimism with realism.

I have been working at Gravitate Solutions full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Competitive Pay - I'm pretty happy with my compensation. They have all the basics that you expect as far as benefits, and recently added flexible time off. (No "sick days" that you lose at the end of the year, either!) Equipment based on need. - Standing desks, multiple monitors, workstation or laptops. Whatever works best for you. Flexible Scheduling - If I need to go to the doctor, or a kid's event,...

I worked at Gravitate Solutions full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

This is the most flexible job I've ever had. It lacks nothing in this way. Employees enjoy working from home, taking vacation or sick time when they need it, and not sweating the small stuff when life logistics inevitably come up. I've seen full-time employees go part-time, and part-time employees become full-time. Others have taken several month trips around the world and kept plugged in with no issue. To sum...

    Cons

Organizationally - It's (mostly) mismanaged/micromanaged from the top down. Some well-intentioned people were promoted to management and lack the training/experience to lead teams effectively. Gravitate does not encourage professional development or managerial training, so they remain unskilled in this area. As a result, management is overly busy while others assert minimal effort, unnoticed. One of the co-founders...

There isn't a better place to work than Gravitate. Nothing even comes close. The people that work here are some of the most amazing people I have ever met in my life. They're incredibly bright, super helpful, and just overall the best. The company is all about career growth and having a path for your future. The work is challenging and interesting. I have been working at Gravitate Solutions full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Lots of perks, like snacks, drinks, beer, benefits, bonuses, learning opportunities, and more. The people all try their best to do the right thing and do a good job, which is great all around and enriches the company culture immensely. Everyone is usually very transparent and straightforward (not to be taken for granted, as a lot of companies preach this but do not practice it - Gravitate really does it) while being constructive....

I have been working at Gravitate Solutions full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

The benefits, culture, people, goals, and challenges make this one of the most fulfilling places to work. We take care of our clients, we take care of our teammates, and we move forward together as a team. From ping pong, picnics, happy hours, and BBQs, we know how to play hard after working hard.

    Cons

Consulting in a Services arena can be hard for those that enjoy the large company atmosphere. Happily, we've had zero turnover on the Services side of things which says a lot for our culture and teammates that keep people here working together.

    Advice to Management

Continue focusing on our future and driving us forward. Our products and services are the best in the business.

    Pros

Co-workers who care deeply about doing not just what is easy, but what is right. Passionate about what they do and devoted to doing it well. This is a group of people I am proud to be part of.

    Cons

The growing corporitization of the company has shifted its focus and soured the atmosphere. Though paying lip service to the old values, management would rather tell people want they want to hear and keep on doing things that do nothing but pass trouble down the road till it eventually catches up with us later. Advice to Management

Stop telling people what they want to hear and actually take action to fix the problems. Trading quality for profit is doing nothing but buying you trouble and costing you valuable people. You don't or won't even realize how things other than flat billable hours provide value to the company. Listen to the people doing the work when they tell you what they need to do it well. Listen to the people who warn you that certain...
