    Pros

Company has a great family culture. There is tremendous focus on safety and it is clear the company cares about its employees. There are great opportunities for advancement and learning.

    Cons

The construction industry can be challenging. Some may see that as a con, but it is rewarding.

I worked at Gray Construction full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

The day goes by fast because there's constant deliveries that go to the job sites. Going to drop off deliveries at the sites can be fun to see the process of building a starbucks or coffee bean.

    Cons

During the non-busy times (december-february) it can be slow but can also be long days when it's crazy busy in the summer time where you'll be staying until trucks are loaded, which can be a few hours overtime.

I worked at Gray Construction for more than a year

    Pros

There are no pros for the anaheim service location.

    Cons

No room for growth, they do not pay enough for the hours worked, the benefits are terrible, training is a joke, management does not know how to manage, managers have no respect for the technician's quality of life and the office is a rotating door. This is a job not a career.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and be honest/up front of how the office is ran and what your expectations are. Don't hire under false pretenses.

I have been working at Gray Construction full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

    - Great place to start a career due to industry exposure/experience - Field experience is beneficial with a handful of good site managers to work with -There are a few good project managers that have spent a lot of time in the field so they understand construction practices first hand -Multiple offices across the country. Different working environments. -Very difficult to be disciplined/lose employment -Rapid promotions...

    Cons

-Low salaries, raises are few and far between -Field staff are typically shuffled around without much thought/concern for employee -Most upper management including executives have'nt had enough (or any) time in the field. This causes many critical decisions to be executed poorly, and more work filters to lower level employees. -Each department has one or two members that carry the weight for the rest of their team. Advice to Management

Management needs more experience in all of the lower roles. The defining feature of a good manager is experience in the work they're managing. Promoting within the ranks based on relational ties is not preferable in business setting.
