Pros
One of the best things about working at Great clips is having a Flexible schedule. My husband works Monday through Friday and I can work in the evening and the weekends without having to pay for daycare for our little ones. Also You dont have to build your own clientele so if you are new to the area or just out of school you will be avlw to cut hair right away and don’t have to put yourself out there.
Cons
There are black out dates during the holidays and certain times during the year that you can’t request Time off.

Pros
Pros are a nice salon, great GMs and all the vacation time and benefits. Flexible schedules and plenty of customers makes time fly!
Cons
Managers do the most work.....period. instead of making bonus money the way we get most of our manager pay, pay us more hourly, plus a bonus if it is earned. It's hard to keep doing all the work for what a stylist makes. We keep the salons running smoothly. You get what you pay for!

Because each salon is independently owned and operated, the best person to address your comments would be your franchisee. If you would like, please email Jeanne@greatclips.com with the salon location where you are employed and details. We will provide it to the franchisee for follow up with you. If you prefer to be anonymous, please let us know and we will forward it anonymously for you. Thank you.

Pros
They are the salon industry’s largest growing brand! They have a base salary and then incentives you can hit daily or weekly depending on your franchisee. The customers are always there for you so no need to build a book of clients. It is a family like atmosphere, with continually training and advance placement! Great clips franchisees care about their employees and it shows!
Cons
They don’t have a set schedule so your schedule will change weekly to be flexible for the clients.

Pros
Great for stylists that are starting out in the industry. Training opportunities are great for improving quality cuts and managing time. As a manager, depending on franchise, there are different bonus incentives for meeting goals. Managing is a difficult job, but it can be very rewarding.
Cons
There is not a great work/life balance. The job is physically and emotionally demanding. Holidays and weekends and evenings are all hands on deck. Great for those that have a flexible schedule.

Pros
Love my job! Great company with awesome compensation plan, bonuses and atmosphere. We have advancement opportunities and flexible scheduling to work around my needs
Cons
I don’t really have any. Great Clips allows me to continue my career after I developed chemical allergies. I make more money than I did in full service and the customers are great
