I have been working at Great HealthWorks full-time

    Pros

Great Healthworks cares about me, and I know it. When speaking of my career here, Great Healthworks has shown me unbelievable support in building and strengthening my team as well as my personal growth. It is my priority to develop this team and empower this team to be successful. It is my privilege to get them to where they want to be in their careers. With the work we do, GHW allows me to do just that.
Since joining GHW, I've had the opportunity to expand and provide quality services throughout many aspects of the company. Along the way, working alongside the various departments and people within them continues to prove to be invaluable.
Understanding and seeing the level of care from the top of the organization and all of its staff does resonate well. This level of care allows me to see what having great health and wellness is all about. That type of commitment has allowed me to see why caring about a person's health, and wellness changes a person’s life for the better. GHW does everything it can for its employees, and of course, all of its customers and I can appreciate that!

    Cons

GHW can move at a fast pace but never does it leave anyone behind.

I worked at Great HealthWorks full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    In-house employees nice.
    Monthly lunches on lifestyle improvements.
Food trucks convenient because no place close by to eat.

    Cons

    Management sets unattainable deadlines.
Upper managers tell execs what they want to hear and then puts blame on employees if not true.
Managers do not take responsibility. Always someone else's fault.

    Advice to Management

Executives need to take the reports they're given and come out of their offices and see what's really going on. They're in for a rude awakening.

I have been working at Great HealthWorks full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    • Good benefits
    • Good pay
    • Free Products
    • 10 minutes from home

    Cons

Top 5 Reasons To Avoid This Toxic Place

    1) Job Insecurity
If GHW was an island, then working here would be like the TV series, Survivor. People are constantly voted off and you wonder when it will be your turn.

    2) Family Affair
Family members and close friends are part of the business which creates problems for those outside the inner circle. Google “Nepotism” and you can see some clear examples of conflicts of interest.

    3) Combative Work Place
It’s a me vs. them attitude. The culture here is built on individual survival and people are just trying to keep their jobs. Back stabbing, arguments, and blame games become the strategies of getting your job done.

    4) Big Brother Is Listening
You’re not allowed to talk on your cell at your desk and that is fine; however, talking on your cell outside of the building will get you instantly terminated! Cell phone conversations are only allowed in the public break room.

    5) Zero Work Life Balance
Due to the unbearable work load, I’ve worked 12 hour days including weekends. Forget about work at home. Executives walk the floor and like to see GHW employees at their desks during normal business hours.

Honestly, these points are found in most companies to some degree; however, the micro management and level of unprofessionalism in GHW is something I have never witnessed in my career!

    Advice to Management

Executives lead through fear, verbal abuse, or threats of job loss. Treat your people with respect. Remember that happy employees make happy customers which in turn makes your bottom line extremely happy.

    Pros

Good starting pay. Friendly environment. Great product. Great training. Healthy snacks on site which is a nice change. Managers are firm but friendly and go out of their way to help you

    Cons

I understand that breaks can't be longer than 15 minutes but I think they should be. Parking is a major issue but they have a shuttle to help with that

    Advice to Management

Training was great and that really helped me to continue to work there

I worked at Great HealthWorks full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and FMLA (you will need it). Shuttle. Weekend off. Receptionist are very helpful. They allow you to use the umbrella's when it's raining

    Cons

The recurriter lured me away from a stable job to work as a WPA which has a high turnover rate and 70% of employees are on FMLA. The WPA position was supposed to be 4-6 hrs on calls and 2 hrs in a training class environment. It was a regular 8 hr call center.

    Advice to Management

Stop "Misleading" interviews or you will be reported
