    Pros

    They want you to learn.
Procedures are very uniform, so there usually aren't many questions.
You acquire many skills and receive lots of training.

    Cons

    A lot expected of tellers.
Not much time to take a second to breathe some days.
Very strict on certain things, not very forgiving on some smaller things.
Often don't feel like you have a voice.

    Advice to Management

Take more consideration in what the tellers are feeling and thinking about decisions that affect their everyday functions.

I have been working at Great Southern Bancorp part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible schedule in a friendly, yet professional, environment. Great people to work with; very welcoming and patient with new employee training which is good because there's a lot of it. Many opportunities to gain volunteer experience within the community. A very good way to advance customer service skills.

    Cons

Pay is above minimum wage but should probably be a bit higher with the type of training and responsibilities workers are given. Benefits for part-time are slim to none, which is somewhat expected but still disappointing for those looking for options for healthcare and insurance.

    Advice to Management

Listen to workers about some functions that are obsolete to make day to day activities simpler for both patrons and employees.

    Pros

Flexible in the office. Bankers hours being off by 5ish every day.

    Cons

Lots of excel tables. Starts to become mind numbing looking at statementsome all day putting them in tables

    Advice to Management

Not much can do. Just comes with the job. Someone has to do it. But does help learn for the next step.
