    Pros

I love working at Greatbatch Fort Wayne! My team is awesome and the leaders care about the people. Everyone is very engaged and we have fun at work. It has been great watching leadership raise the bar of expectations and hold people accountable. We are a proud facility and looking forward to our bright future! Salary and benefits are great too!

    Cons

technology is a little behind as far as systems, but we are working on it. 401K could be more competitive.

I have been working at Greatbatch full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Greatbatch generally has small teams. All teams are only 3 or 4 levels deep starting at CEO. That provides challenging work environment.
    Great PTO policy.

    Cons

There is lot of visibility. If would be risky if you are a below average performer
401(K) matching is lower than what other companies generally offer.

I have been working at Greatbatch full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very professional workplace, everyone is very respectful. Very competitive compensation and great PTO policy, even for new hires. Company is focused on wellness of employees and their families and rewards (cash and prizes) based on participation in wellness plan. Continually hires best and brightest to add to the team.

    Cons

Moving from a smaller organization - company culture seems very guarded. Less personal interaction than i'm used to, but you just need to find the right people to socialize with. Only high deductible health insurance is challenging for families.

    Advice to Management

Continue tracking to be a major player in medical device components with innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. Continue to have a major presence in WNY and harvest talented individuals. Understand that individuals that have the mentality of "that's how we've always done it" doesn't apply as much to an innovative, fast paced organization that wants to be a market leader.

I worked at Greatbatch as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

They treat their interns as well as they treat their employees. I always felt like part of the company and they always tried to integrate me into as many projects as possible. Overall great experience.

    Cons

Having an internship does not solidify your chance of getting a full-time job, but the experience that you gain during the program should help.

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to push the interns and test their boundaries. The program should make them leave their comfort zone since there won't be many other opportunities to fail in the future.

The building and the location in Cleveland are not the best.
