    Its very close to home.

    Cons

    Very small agency with no benefits, we are treated as contractors.

    Pros

    Greatwide used to be a great company to work for before the merger.

    Cons

    There is no sense of security, there is no support, there is no training and no communication. Raises are at best every other year at about 1-3%.

    Advice to Management

    Know the roles and functions of your employees, give them support and communicate what is going on with the company.

    I worked at Greatwide Logistics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    I really can't think of one single good thing that I took away from this company. I sincerely regret ever accepting the position.

    Cons

    Run by a family that is vocally baptist, racist, sexist, Republican. The entire operation is unprofessional and chaotic.

    Full time - yet they offer no benefits

    Requesting time off is like pulling teeth

    "On-call" - where they expect you to work 24/7 for a week straight and still only pay you for a flat 40 hours

    Waking up at all hours of the night to deal with issues and still being expected to show up on time the next day

    The co-workers - vocally racist, sexist, voice their political opinions in the middle of morning meetings.

    No room for advancement due to it being completely family run

    Expectations are absurd for the pay

    Co-workers - Literally the worst people I've ever encountered

    Pros

    Salary is excellent, peers are excellent

    Cons

    When I would come to work I never knew who my manager would be. Upper management changes daily also. Layoffs and bankruptcies are out of control. You're bound to end up with a manger with less education and experience than you whose biggest concerns are the type of chairs and not moving freight or taking care of the customer and guess who takes the heat for their inabilities.

    Advice to Management

    Stop moving people in and out of positions. We are not reinventing the wheel here we are moving freight. Treat your drivers and your dispatchers with respect. They are the ones saving your butts on a daily basis.
