    I worked at Green Mill Restaurants part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Free food if your a kitchen worker, free drinks for all that is pop, coffee and water. Weed and other kinds of smoking breaks.

    Cons

    Low wages, no overtime if you do you get yelled at. No loyalty. Bad food safety practices.

    Advice to Management

    Get real management.

    Management is so great and always looking out for your best interests.

    Cons

    There are some slow times so be prepared for that. But, the busy seasons definitely make up for it!

    Could do without the drama and gossip. No wonder why you have such a high turnover rate.

    Happy Hour is only available in the bar so servers in the restaurant lose customers

    Pros

    You can make some decent money through tips and there are some genuinely awesome people that work there.

    Cons

    Cancerous environment, Gossip runs wild at this place and the biggest culprits are the supervisors and managers who would rather sit in the office and gossip over actually doing their job. If management doesn't like you, you're screwed. Severs get blamed for EVERYTHING that is wrong in the restaurant. The owner thinks that he's being extremely generous by paying servers minimum wage as opposed to a traditional sever wage. However, he also makes servers pay for the restaurants credit card fees as well as tip the cooks out so he doesn't have to pay them a decent wage. Management is also overly involved with tips, demanding that servers give more of the money that they earn through tips to cooks, bar, bussers, etc. Many machines, ovens, etc. are broken and never seem to get fixed. All communication is done over passive aggressive facebook posts as opposed to actually in person. A couple of the supervisors drink on the job.

    Advice to Management

    Find supervisors who aren't going to treat the job like it's high school.

    Pros

    Great company to work for. The food is absolutely amazing. And the prices are out of this world

    Cons

    I guess the biggest thing was the amount of money that I was making sometimes way too much

    Long nights, some 12 hr shifts
