    Positive Outlook

I worked at Greenbrier Sporting Club full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Strong leadership team with opportunities for career advancement and personal growth. The culture is positive, and focused on excellence. Upper management is willing to provide honest feedback and career guidance. Great resume builder!

    Cons

The hospitality industry is often cyclical, and it is no different here. There are more opportunities during the summer months than during the winter. If you can take advantage of a seasonal position or culinary / hospitality internship, don't let the short term commitment scare you. It's worth the temporary employment. (And pro: The company does fill full-time positions with prior interns.)

Yes, you'll be working a lot of hours during the busy season. But you'll also have time to rest or move on, depending on your circumstances, when the slow season comes.

    Advice to Management

Delegate wisely to give your teams opportunities for growth and to lighten your load. Some managers are naturally better teachers. Culinary students, identify those managers to take full advantage of your internship.

Most of the members were pleasant.

    Cons

It's an elitist environment. Tons of inappropriate commentary.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Greenbrier Sporting Club full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You have one assignment in the morning, and one in the afternoon. Once you have finished those, the day is over.

    Cons

You're outside all day, from 6:30am to 3:30pm.

    Advice to Management

Have some incentives for employees to take pride in their work.
