I worked at Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This location is a franchise so the owner is very involved and an awesome guy. A great environment to work at. Systems in place made this one of the easiest management positions I had.

    Cons

Being a franchise there are very limited opportunities for advancement and promotion.

I worked at Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    great staff and management
    local costumers tip extremely well
    regulars treat you like family
dependable scheduling and people get regular days for consistent work

    Cons

winter is slower than summer (like anywhere in myrtle)
the outside portion of the restaurant is very hot during the summer- be ready to work hard for the money (which, again, is really good)

    Advice to Management

continue hiring friendly and hard working staff. Update the beer selection more regularly with craft/more local breweries. otherwise, great restaurant for local food and drink

I worked at Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille part-time

    Pros

    - wonderful regulars and customers, never a dull day
    - select few experienced employees who were extremely helpful

    Cons

    - will be punished for doctors note (reason i was given was that the owner comes in sick everyday, you should have to as well)
    - RAMPANT physical and emotional bullying between employees, extremely hostile environment
    - racist remarks disguised as "joking"
    - managers lie for personal gain
    - had a family emergency, was threatened with job loss and interrogated harshly (I was not the only one unfortunately)
    - unfair treatment of those with disability
    - management openly discusses your job, performance, and your personal business with other employees.
    - a manager threatened to CHOKE HIS STAFF.
    - SLIM TO NONE chance of being promoted

    Advice to Management

please treat your employees like human beings and save your restaurant. many people have quit already. i have never had treatment like this from a job in my entire life and am stunned. And for god sakes, stop pulling employees into your office to berate and personally attack them to the point they leave sobbing. There was 4 people this happened to in the span of a week. GET IT TOGETHER

I have been working at Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I got to meet new and different people everyday , the best thing about that place are the guess and most of the employees

    Cons

The management team is not good you can't really call them a team there all over the place and only care about there "friends"

    Advice to Management

You have to get the store and the out look on the way you look at things together. I also feel all of them should go back to school for the correct way to handle situations
